The NEET-UG 2023 exam took place on May 7, 2023 in pen and paper mode and was conducted in 13 languages across the country. This exam serves as a common and uniform test for admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions.
NTA conducted NEET (UG)-2023 for a total of 2,087,449 candidates at 4,097 different centers located in 499 cities across the country including 14 cities outside India. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now download the provisional answer keys, scanned images of OMR answer sheets and recorded responses from the official website to challenge them.

To challenge the answer key, candidates need to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per answer challenge. The payment can be done through various modes like Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or Paytm. However, it is important to note that challenges will be accepted only if the processing fee is received by June 6, 2023 (by 11:50 PM). No challenge will be entertained by NTA without receipt of processing fee.
The challenges raised by the candidates will be verified by a panel of subject experts constituted by NTA. In case any challenge is found correct, the answer key will be revised and will be applied to all the candidates accordingly. Based on the decisions of the experts the final answer key will be used to prepare and declare the result. It is to be noted that no individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance or rejection of their challenge. The key decided after the challenge process will be treated as final, and no further challenges will be accepted after June 6, 2023 (up to 11:50 PM).
