Of the 27,272 students, 15,988 were girls, of whom 10,606 were girls, while 8,400 boys achieved distinction. While in Arts stream, 4468 girls got distinction as against 1,850 boys. Girls have once again outshone boys in the Higher Secondary School examinations in the Union Territory. The pass percentage of girls has been 68 percent as against 61 percent of boys.
JKBOSE Chairperson Professor Parikshit Singh Manhas expressed satisfaction over the entire examination process and congratulated all the stakeholders. The exam was conducted at 1255 centers set up in soft and hard zone areas identified in both the union territories.
He thanked everyone for contributing in the smooth conduct of the examination and the success of the government’s vision to bring all the students of the two Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh together in the same academic session and successfully declare their results. to be done.
