Storyline
In the midst of communal riots raging in the city, Tara shelters a wayward Sakina from a rabid mob and forms a bond that turns into love. Eventually both get married and have a son. The happy family, now living in Amritsar, gets the biggest shock of their lives when Sakina learns that her father (Amrish Puri), whom she earlier believed was killed in the Amritsar riots.
