“Darna Zaroori Hai” means fear is necessary. A horror film with six different stories!!
I have been very fond of haunted elements since childhood. I have completed almost all horror series and movies like 1920 London, Phhir, Khamoshiyaan, Kaali Khuhi and many more. But recently, I came across an incredible movie called ‘Darna Zaroori Hai’ which released on 28th April 2006.
While watching this movie I noticed that there are total six stories in it. Yes, the film weaves six different stories into one film, and each story is directed by different Bollywood directors, including Sajid Khan, Ram Gopal Varma, Praval Raman, Vivek Shah, GG Philip, J.D. Chakraborty and Manish Gupta.
The storyline of Movie Darna Zaroori Hai
In the beginning of the film, we see a young man named Satish, who is fond of films and lives with his mother. Being a movie buff, he goes to the theater every Friday to watch the last show of Bollywood movies. Like every Friday, they decided to watch the movie ‘Darna Mana Hai’. His mother advised him not to take the shortcut through the graveyard as today is the full moon and the evil forces become stronger at that time.
But Satish ignores her warning and takes a shortcut through the graveyard. He reaches the theater safely, but pays a heavy price for not heeding his mother’s warnings on the way back home.
The official story of this movie revolves around five kids who get lost in the middle of the jungle and end up in a haunted house. There he meets an old woman who probably lives in the same house. She tells them six scary stories, and the children take it as a game and bet at the end of the stories who isn’t scared.
