Storyline
Veer Zara is the story of Air Force Commander Veer Pratap Singh and Pakistani girl Zara Hayat. Zara comes to India to scatter her grandmother’s ashes but on her way back, she meets with an accident and loses her way, but Veer rescues her and drops her safely at the border. Although during this trip the two develop feelings for each other, they both feel connected during their departure but Zara leaves.
Now Veer decides to go to Pakistan and get his love back but his life turns upside down, he is caught and jailed for 20 years.
20 years later, a lawyer named Samia Siddiqui, played by Rani Mukerji, comes to know about Veer’s story and decides to fight for his freedom. During this, he comes to know about the whole plan and conspiracy with Veer and Zara. The ending of the film will leave you teary-eyed and the song “Tere Liye Hum Hain Jeene Ko Siya” in the climax adds fuel to the fire, the emotional journey of both the characters compels you to respect your lover.
